I love to sit and be quiet in this small hidden oasis
at Fairchild Tropical Gardens. In the midst of
bustling Miami, this waterfall sanctuary was created
from a sink-hole.
Sink-holes are not usually thought of as good things.
Just like this sanctuary provides soothing for the soul
and relief from the busyness of life, God can meet us
in the sink-holes of our lives and create something
beautiful through them. He provides sanctuary
where our longing for meaning in life is filled in Him.
Psalm 42:1-2
"As the deer pants for the water brooks,
So my soul pants for you, O God.
My soul thirsts for God, for the living God,
Where can I go and meet with God?"
